You just searched for the Crunchyroll app on your Samsung TV but couldn't find it, why? Samsung discontinued the Crunchyroll app years ago and it let us all down.
The operating system (operating software) used by Samsung TVs is called Tizen and does not support the Crunchyroll application. This means that you cannot use your Samsung TV to use the Crunchyroll app.
Don't worry, though, we'll show you a workaround to get Crunchyroll on your Samsung TV from another anime fan.

1. Using a streaming device to watch Crunchyroll
The easiest way to watch Crunchyroll on a Samsung TV is to use a streaming device like the Firestick or Roku. Connect it to your TV's HDMI input and download the Crunchyroll app.
Here are some streaming devices you can use to watch Crunchyroll:
We love streaming devices because they are often cheap and easy to set up. Setting up Chromecast on a Samsung TV takes a few minutes, and all you need is a Wi-Fi connection and a device (e.g. smartphone) to set it up.
You can find older generations for under $30 and even used ones on Facebook Marketplace or eBay.
If you can save some extra cash, we recommend buying one of the 4K models like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max or the Roku Express 4K+. You get faster boot times and faster app browsing. Both are great options for watching Crunchyroll on Samsung TVs.
2 . Cast or mirror your Crunchyroll app to your Samsung TV
Another option is to cast the Crunchyroll app from another device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to your Samsung TV. Here are some examples of devices that can stream to Samsung TVs:
Technically you can also stream from other devices like Roku or Chromecast, but if you try this method, Chances are you won't have one.
Consider two of the most common examples.
How to cast Crunchyroll on iPhone to Samsung TV
You can cast Crunchyroll to Samsung TV using iPhone and AirPlay.
It only works if you have a few things:
Compatible Samsung TVs that support AirPlay (2018-2023)
Trusted Wi-Fi connection
iPhone (or iPad) switch to AirPlay
Here are the steps complete:
Confirm your iPhone and Samsung TV are connecting to the same Wi-Fi network
On your Samsung TV, go to Settings > General > Apple Airplay Settings
On the Settings screen set AirPlay, switch AirPlay to On
Then on Request Code select only First
Open Crunchyroll and start playing video then select Airplay icon
Select your Samsung TV from list
Now , you will see the video you are playing on your Samsung TV!
Require a password: You may require a passcode or password before allowing AirPlay to stream to your Samsung TV. We want to choose Only for the first time because the Samsung TV will always be in our own home.
How to cast Crunchyroll to Samsung TV using Android phone or Samsung
Many Android smartphones have their own screen casting or mirroring feature, here are some more examples:
Because that would be too many steps to include all other brand phones, we will walk you through the transfer steps using Samsung phones.
Confirm that your Samsung phone and Samsung TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
Download and open Samsung Smart View
Select "Allow" or enter a 4-digit number to search for TVs nearby
Choose your Samsung TV from the list
You can now open Crunchyroll and start streaming to your Samsung TV!

3. Using the Crunchyroll app on your game console
You can watch Crunchyroll on Xbox or PlayStation by downloading the Crunchyroll app from the store ! Many other consoles have the Crunchyroll app, here's the full list:
4. Stream Crunchyroll with an HDMI cable to a laptop, PC, iPad or phone
Most laptops, computers and TV both have HDMI inputs, so you just need to use an HDMI cable to connect both. Just cast Crunchyroll on your laptop browser and it will show up on your Samsung TV.
Make sure to check first if your laptop and TV have HDMI inputs, as there are other inputs like Mini-HDMI, DVI, Display Port, VGA, etc. if you don't have internet at home but you have internet on your phone.
Here are two examples of HDMI to phone cables for iPhone and Android phones.
The downside of these attachments is that you need to charge your phone or it will die off as you watch episode after episode.
5. Use third-party apps and stream your web browser
Apps are created by third-party companies that create apps that anyone can download and use. We have found a useful application called Web Video Caster.
You can search on app store and download there they have great guide on how to cast your browser to Samsung TV.
Once done, just fire up Crunchyroll and you'll be ready to go!
Note: Third-party apps require a separate developer to update apps and fix bugs. So these solutions may not be permanent if other problems arise. Big companies like Netflix and Hulu will update their apps all the time, but third-party apps are unpredictable.
6. Use your smart TV browser to watch Crunchyroll
Many smart TVs actually come with a web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox. If you can, just open your browser and navigate to the Crunchyroll website and watch your anime from there!
Press the Home button on your remote
In the bottom menu scroll all the way to the right and click Internet Browser
Type crisproll.com in the URL address bar
Although it may work it can can be annoying as most TV browsers navigate is terrible. They are very slow and difficult to scroll and type.
